The mother of Wholesale Inflatable Dinosaur Ship a special needs child says she is happy that the Middletown official accused of threatening her son will face charges.
The mother, who did not want to be identified in order to protect her son's identity, spoke to The Middletown Press.
Middletown Finance Director Carl Erlacher will be arraigned in Middletown Superior Court today on charges of breaching the peace.
Erlacher was arrested last Friday after an incident at "A New World Laser Tag" in March. A relative of Erlacher's had complained that a boy pulled down her pants. Witnesses say Erlacher then started yelling and threatening a boy with special needs who was there with another group of children.
The boy's mother told the Press that her son was traumatized by the incident and now sees a school psychologist several times a week "because he is afraid 'the man' is going to get him."
"Justice needs to be served," she said.
